About Me

Posted on: May 26, 2008

I am a physical therapist and a board-certified clinical specialist. I have practiced in pediatric and geriatric settings for nearly 14 years in the US. I have a doctorate in Physical Therapy and currently conduct pregnancy and childbirth classes called Healthy Mother(TM), in Hyderabad, India. The program builds on material taught in the internationally renowned Lamaze classes and empowers expectant mothers and their families with information and techniques to have a safe, natural and healthy pregnancy, all in the context of an Indian environment.

I would like to invite all of you to share your thoughts, experiences and queries about pregnancy, childbirth and post-pregnancy on this forum so that we can have a good discussion on all that is important to to-be-mothers, new moms and their families and anyone interested. Pregnancy is a very exciting stage in our lives and I am happy to contribute towards making mothers-to-be and new moms (and new dads) more informed, and prepared. Let us embark on an online journey with my next post on how I got into this field….
